Wellness Services

At ProActive Chiropractic we take a hands-on
approach to chiropractic care with every patient we
treat, which includes manual and instrument-based
chiropractic adjustments, along with sports medicine
rehabilitation and massage therapy. To augment our
manual efforts we use a combination of different
diagnostic and therapeutic tools that address
patients' individual conditions and needs.


Insight Subluxation Station Spinal Scan

The Insight Subluxation Station scans the nerves
exiting both sides of your spine to determine any
hypo or hyperactivity at each level, indicating a
spinal subluxation. The identification and correction
of these subluxations, or misalignments of the
spine, is the primary goal of effective chiropractic
care.

The 24 pairs of spinal nerves exiting your spine
carry the information from your brain to your body,
controlling every organ, tissue and cell of your body.
A spinal subluxation will irritate and potentially
choke off the vital information that nerves are
communicating between your brain and organs,
tissues, and cells.


Acugraph Acupuncture Assessment Station

This machine helps us identify any potential
toxicities, deficiencies, and malfunctioning organ
systems that could benefit from acupuncture. It
digitally scans the meridian points - paths by which
energy naturally flows through your body --
throughout your hands and feet to determine how
well each body system and organ is functioning.

Therapeutic Technology

Laser Therapy
Cold Laser Therapy uses a light wave laser to
produce a flow of energy used by the human body to
stop pain, speed healing, and improve an array of
conditions.

The laser beam is calibrated to penetrate up to 2
inches past the surface of the skin, so it can

joint of the body, is critical to the speed and quality
of recovery from injuries and chronic conditions.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation EMS

Electrotherapy uses electrical currents to treat
injured muscle tissue. Because muscles, tendons and
ligaments cross every joint of the body, if treatment
of injuries and chronic conditions fails to treat these
structures, the speed and quality of recovery may be
inhibited. Electrotherapy (EMS) is one of the many
tools we use to support the healthy functioning of
these critical structures. Its benefits include:

  • Increasing circulation
  • Decreasing swelling.








Therapeutic Ultrasound

Ultrasonic diathermy uses sound waves to cause
vibration deep within injured soft tissues. It has
been shown to increase tissue relaxation, local blood
flow, and scar tissue breakdown. The effect of the
increase in local blood flow can be used to help
reduce local swelling and chronic inflammation, and
according to some studies, promote bone fracture
healing.











Mechanical Traction

Our mechanical distraction tables and chairs are
particularly useful for individuals who are suffering
from stiff back joints and tense muscles.  The roller
break up stiff tissue damage along the spine while
relaxing like a heated massage.. It is a smooth,
efficient distraction table and chair used for
adjusting the full spine by distraction the neck, mid,
and lower back and manipulating specific segments
into their ranges of motion.











Integrator

On the occasion a patient prefers to not be treated
by or may not respond to traditional chiropractic
adjustments, the Activator is the ideal alternative.
It produces an effective level of force with
extremely high acceleration, but only a gentle
tapping sensation is experienced by the patient.







Customized exercises with easy to follow handouts

We have customized exercise programs that
incorporate theraballs, therabands, weight, and
exercise balls.  We have exercises for most common
injuries and conditions along with wellness exercise
dvd and mp3 players.
